At Aberfeldie Baptist Church, we gather together each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of worshipping and praising God.
Our English word ‘worship’ has evolved from the Anglo Saxon word ‘weorthscipe’ which means to give worth to something/someone. As we join together to worship God, our desire is to give Him the honour and glory that is due to Him because He alone is worthy.
We turn our hearts and minds to God as we join in songs of praise and worship to Him and as we offer up prayers of praise and thanksgiving. Through our monthly participation in the Lord’s Supper, we are reminded of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for us.
We are both challenged and encouraged through the message each Sunday. As we read God’s Word and hear how it can be applied to our own lives, we learn how to walk in His ways and live for Him.
Occasionally, we invite a missionary or a speaker from a Christian organization to share with us and give us insight into their work. We seek to support them through prayer and giving. A missionary offering is collected once a month to support a number of missionaries and mission organizations. A portion of our regular offerings is also used for mission giving and local outreach.
Caring for All:
Often times, people have commented that Aberfeldie Baptist is a warm and friendly church. We hope and trust that all who enter here receive a warm greeting by our welcomers each Sunday morning. We seek to cater for all age groups through a variety of worship leaders and team members who offer various styles of worship and music.
An important aspect of our service is a time of sharing the praise points, needs and concerns of our church family and praying for them.
